Overview

Scan the site you are on with the Readiness Index. One click, one result, in a new tab.

Click the Readiness Index icon on any website to see how ready that site is for AI. The extension takes the address of the site you are on, starts a Primary Indicators scan on readinessindex.io, and opens the result in a new tab beside the page you were reading. It takes about ten seconds. WHAT YOU GET • A score for the site, with the tests it passed and the ones it did not • The fixes that would earn the most points, in plain language • A result you can read and share, with no account and no sign-in needed for the scan • A way to go on to the full 100-point report, which tests the whole site WHAT THE SCAN CHECKS The Primary Indicators scan runs 13 tests against one page of the site. They cover the basics that decide whether AI systems can reach, read and quote it: what its robots.txt tells each AI crawler, whether its content is still there when JavaScript is off, whether a machine can tell who and what the site is, and whether it has stated what AI may do with its content. The Readiness Index is an open standard published by TEN7. The full index tests 51 things and scores a site out of 100. WHAT IT SENDS When you click the icon, the extension sends only the hostname of the page you are on (for example, www.example.com) to readinessindex.io. It never sends the path, the query string, the content of the page or your browsing history. It does nothing until you click, stores nothing on your device, and asks for a single permission: access to the current tab when you click the icon. Pages that cannot be scanned (browser pages, local files, localhost and IP addresses) open the Readiness Index home page instead. Free. Made in Minneapolis by TEN7.
