Read articles without images or ads. Highlight text, add private comments, auto-scroll, and adjust your reading settings.

Readify gives articles a quiet, comfortable place to read. Open a news story or blog post to remove distracting images, media players, ad widgets, menus, and recommendations from the reader view while keeping the article text. READ YOUR WAY • Choose Light, Paper, or Dark themes. • Adjust text size, font, line spacing, and page width. • Switch between one and two columns on wider screens. • Navigate article headings with the contents list. • Use adjustable auto-scroll and pause whenever you need to. KEEP THE IDEAS THAT MATTER • Highlight selected passages in Yellow, Blue, or Pink. • Add, edit, and delete comments beside your saved passages. • Revisit highlights from the comments panel. • Highlights and comments are stored on your device for each article URL. QUICK TO OPEN Click the Readify toolbar icon, or press Alt+R (Option+R on macOS). The reading tools stay at the top of the screen. Close the reader to return to the original page. MULTILINGUAL READING Article text stays in its original language. Readify includes fonts for Malayalam, Hindi/Devanagari, Arabic/Persian, and Chinese, plus system fonts for English and other languages. It preserves right-to-left text and mixed-language passages. Controls currently use English. YOUR DATA Article processing happens locally. Readify has no analytics, advertising, or article-text uploads. Reading preferences may sync through Chrome sync storage; highlights, quotations, article URLs used to identify saved notes, and comments stay in Chrome local storage. No account is required. Readify works on accessible web pages. Chrome internal pages, restricted pages, paywalled content that has not loaded, and some unusual website layouts may not be readable. News homepages may open as a clean list of headline links rather than a single article.
