Overview

Reader-side accessibility overlay. Local-first: all reading transforms and system text-to-speech run on your device, free forever.

**Readiant makes the web easier to read — comfortably, and privately.** Turn on Readiant for any article and it restyles the page for calm, comfortable reading: larger text, more line spacing, softer width, higher contrast, and dyslexia-friendly fonts. Prefer to listen? It reads the article aloud with your computer's built-in voice, highlighting each sentence as it goes. Everything runs **on your device**. No page text, URL, or reading content ever leaves your browser — there are no accounts, no tracking, and no servers. Readiant asks for access **one site at a time**, only when you turn it on, and you can revoke it anytime. **What you get — free, forever, on the core path:** • One-tap reading presets — “Bigger & calmer” and “Dyslexia-friendly” • A quick text-size stepper (A− / A+) right up front • Fine-tune contrast (Soft / Normal / High) and reading font (Sans / Serif / Weighted) • Read aloud with the system voice — play, pause, skip by sentence, and adjust speed • Sentence highlighting that uses underline + box + outline (never color alone) • A reading ruler and gentle background tints to reduce visual strain • A per-site Reading / Original toggle — pause the restyle whenever you want • Light / Dark / System theme for Readiant’s own controls **Built for privacy:** • Local-first — all reading transforms and text-to-speech happen in your browser • Zero network requests on the core path (verified by an automated test in the project) • Per-site permission — never a blanket “access all your data” grant • Your preferences are stored locally on your device; nothing is synced by default **Who it’s for:** Anyone who reads a lot online — people with dyslexia, low vision, ADHD, light sensitivity, or anyone who just wants a calmer, more comfortable reading experience. Open any article, click the Readiant icon, and choose **Turn on for this site**.
