A little room between an AI answer and your next question. Readglass is a small reading timer that helps you notice how long you stay with an AI answer before moving on. It estimates reading time from answer length and compares that reference with time spent while the answer is visible in a focused browser window. READ WHILE THE ANSWER IS GENERATING The timer counts from the first answer text it detects. During generation, it shows elapsed time only. Once generation ends, it calculates the whole-answer estimate and subtracts time already spent. For example, a 60-second reference with 10 seconds already spent leaves 50 seconds. Background and offscreen time are excluded. CHOOSE THE VIEW YOU PREFER Use an hourglass with spent, estimated and remaining time, or switch to a small numeric countdown. Estimates start from adjustable references of 500 Korean/CJK characters per minute and 220 words per minute for other text. These are starting assumptions, not scientific averages or measures of understanding. AI WEBSITES AND MANUAL SELECTION Includes automatic detection adapters for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and DeepSeek in Chrome. Website layouts can change. If an answer is missed, or you use another AI website, open Readglass, choose Connect this page / Pick an answer, select the answer and finish the reading manually if the site's send control cannot be recognized. Selection starts from now and must be repeated for a new answer. Browser settings and other restricted pages cannot be connected. LOCAL DATA Answer text and current editor state are processed temporarily on your device. Conversation text is not saved or transmitted. Settings and up to 100 timing-only records stay in this browser; the popup shows the latest five and provides a Clear history control. Readglass has no analytics, advertising, remote code, remote translation or model API connection, and does not require a Readglass account. 30 INTERFACE LANGUAGES English is the default. Readglass does not measure eye gaze, confirm that you read an answer, score your understanding, or prevent you from sending messages.
