Read in Aloudia brings your offline voices to the browser. Click the toolbar button on any article, blog, or document to hear it read aloud with real-time karaoke highlighting — the current Features: • In-page reading with dual-layer word highlighting • 20+ offline voices across 30+ languages (Kokoro, Piper, Supertonic engines) • 6 reading modes: Standard, Fiction, News, Study, Podcast, Bedtime • Focus mode dims the page and spotlights the current paragraph • Speed control (0.5×–2.0×) applied at the TTS engine level • Right-click any paragraph to start reading from that position • Works offline — all synthesis happens locally on your Mac • Dark mode support Requires the Aloudia app running on macOS. Windows and Linux users can still use the system voice fallback. No data ever leaves your device.
