Read Flow
Overview
Reading assistant with bionic text, readability controls, a focus ruler, guided pacing, speed estimates, and a PDF reader.
Read Flow is a privacy-first reading assistant for web pages and PDFs. Open it from the toolbar or a page's right-click menu, then use bionic-style text emphasis, a cursor-following reading ruler, and adjustable font, text size, line height, letter spacing, and column width. Calibrate a comfortable reading pace, see a local reading-speed estimate, or follow the guided word-by-word pacer. Contrast adaptation finds text that fails a WCAG ratio against its own backdrop and raises it until it passes. For reading after dark, Night reading either warms and dims the page or inverts it into a dark theme, on demand or only inside the hours you choose. For PDFs, Read Flow includes a text-reflow reader that extracts readable text into a clean article so the same accessibility and pacing tools work there too. Scanned PDFs without OCR may not contain extractable text. Everything is processed in your browser. Read Flow has no accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking and sends nothing to ScholarSail or third parties. A remote PDF is fetched only when you explicitly open it in Read Flow. Keyboard shortcuts: - Toggle bionic reading: Ctrl+Shift+1 - Toggle the reading ruler: Ctrl+Shift+2 - Start or stop Guide Me pacing: Ctrl+Shift+3 - Cycle night reading (off, warm dim, dark): Ctrl+Shift+4
