Read Aloud: Text to Speech (TTS, Listen to Text)

Read Aloud works better than most of the programs that I could pay for. I still marvel at the fact that it is FREE! You can stick with the generic robot voice or pick one of the myriad AI voices for free. The small format app also frees up a lot of memory so that it does not pause and stop like other programs. (Check your own computer capabilities.)

Good but frustrating that it pauses randomly while reading.

The NLP is great to deal with large block of text, especially as ones focus might come and go from material. The audio output is of course robotic, but I can manage it.

Very good and easy to use. One thing that they can add to get even better. When we select "read page" and it starts reding maybe that it scrolles for you so we could follow where it's reading. To be fair it does that in the small page it opens on the screen already but I mean on the actual page.

Very happy with this extension! allows me to get some article readings for a course while i travel and do other stuff! The voice is very fluid. very happy with it.

This is a really good reader. Simple to use, and has lots of options. I find that sometimes it get's stuck and stops reading halfway through a sentence, I'm not sure why. Every now and then I have to manually click on the next sentence to get it to start reading again. It would be nice if there was a hot key to go to the next or previous sentence, but as it stands now, you there are only hot keys to go to the next or previous line break. Still a good reader overall.

I have been using this for my college courses and am pleased with the performance so far. Sometimes it starts a word or two after the first word in a sentence, but that could be the loading time and the quicker speed I have it set to. Aside from that small, easily corrected glitch, I haven't had any issues and it helps me progress through my courses faster. Definitely recommend for those that focus better by hearing and reading along with things.
