Overview

Your shop's Ratchet beside the system you work in: the job on the page written up, manual references, parts, sign-ins handed over.

Ratchet Bridge is the side panel for shops and technicians who use Ratchet (ratchetmx.com). It sits beside whatever system you are working in and does these things, all through your own shop's Ratchet account: • Follows the page. Tabs appear for what the page is about: a work order item leads with the write-up, an airplane's page with the airplane and its publications, a supplier's site with parts. • Writes up the job on the page. Open a work order item, a squawk or a due item in EBIS/Work Center, Quantum MX or CAMP, and the panel reads the page and drafts the discrepancy and corrective action in logbook wording, with the aircraft's tail and model picked off the page. Anywhere else, select the text of a job and press Read this page. Click the write-up to edit it, or hold the mic and say what to change. • Knows the airplane. On an aircraft's page in your system - or any page that names one of your tails - the airplane as Ratchet has it: times, what is due, open work, engine and propeller, and every publication in your shop's library for it, each a link to the page. • Finds the references. The maintenance-manual pages and torque values in your shop's Ratchet library that apply to that job and that model, each a link to the page. • Sources the parts. Every part number on the job with a Source button: your shop's suppliers answer with price and availability into a dropdown, and Order puts it on the shop's to-do list. • Keeps your manuals current. On Veryon Technical Publications (the Aviation Hub), Sync listing puts the subscription's publications and issue numbers in Ratchet, the Library shows which manuals on file are current, and the Bridge fetches the ones you ask for through your own sign-in. • Brings your history over. On EBIS/Work Center or CAMP, hand your sign-in to Ratchet and press Bring it all over: aircraft, work orders, compliance and logbook history come across through your own sign-in and are mapped into Ratchet. Requires a Ratchet account (a shop, or a Tech account for one technician). Your passwords for other sites never pass through the extension; nothing is sent anywhere but your shop's Ratchet. Nothing Ratchet writes is an airworthiness determination: the certificated mechanic checks and signs.
