Overview

See every business's Google Business Profile categories, claim status and listing IDs on Google Maps, plus your Rankr heatmaps.

Google Maps shows one category for each business. A dental office that Maps labels "Dentist" can have eight more on its profile, like Oral surgeon and Teeth whitening service, and those affect which searches it shows up for. This extension shows all of them on Google Maps: - Each result in the list gets a row of its categories. A star marks the primary one. - A badge on each result says whether the profile is claimed. For agencies, the unclaimed ones are potential clients. - Open a listing to copy its categories, Place ID, CID or review link. - It works on any search, including a search for a competitor by name. Before you change your own categories, look at what the top three businesses near you picked. Agencies can check a client's listing in about ten seconds. For Rankr customers: connect the extension to your Rankr account and your heatmaps show on Google Maps. Search one of your tracked keywords, like "chiropractor near me", and the grid from your latest scan opens on the map, in Default or Satellite view, with your average rank and how it changed since your last scan. Click a point to see who ranks above you there. A blue Rankr button next to Google's filters opens and closes the heatmap. On any other search, click it to pick one of your locations and keywords. Team members with view-only access see the same heatmaps. You can turn heatmaps off in the toolbar popup. Heatmaps need a Rankr account (joinrankr.com). Everything else in the extension is free and works without one. If Google changes Maps and a listing can't be read, the extension says so on that listing instead of going blank. Privacy: without a Rankr account it doesn't collect anything about you. It reads the category data Google Maps loads in your browser. Sponsored results arrive with only their primary category, so for those it asks Google Maps for the full list, the same request Maps makes when you open a listing. If you connect a Rankr account, it downloads your locations, keywords and latest scans from Rankr and keeps a connection key in your browser. It checks your Maps searches against your keywords inside your browser, and your searches aren't sent to Rankr. Your settings, like which location you last picked for a search, stay in your browser. It only runs on google.com/maps. Made by Rankr (joinrankr.com), which tracks local rankings for Google Business Profiles. Google Maps is a trademark of Google LLC. Rankr isn't made or endorsed by Google.
