Works great! Only problem is that it wont count all the votes. I had 200 votes in election but after it scanned the google sheets, it would only count up to 182. In another one I had 167 votes but it would only count up to 147. Odd.
Hi Cedrik! Thanks for the feedback. This can happen when you collect votes via Google Forms where a lot of people vote at the same time. Google Forms defaults to a "timestamp" that's accurate to the nearest second as the way it identifies each row of data. BUT, if people vote within a 1 second of each other, they end up with the same timestamp. And then RankedVote treats those as duplicates. To fix, you can go to the Google Sheet, put "1" in the first timestamp value (cell A2) and then "2" in the second (cell A3), highlight those two cells, and then click and drag the blue circle that shows in the lower right of the selection. This is a shortcut for "filling down" and it will put a unique number in each cell. Then update the info in the RankedVote Chrome Extension and you'll be good to go. Hope that helps!

The ol' swap-eroo. Now charging 10 dollars a month for anything over 15 votes. Lame. Instant uninstall.
Hi Shoulder Pork...the RankedVote Chrome Extension has had a free (Starter) and paid (Pro) version since it was released. The details are in the "Overview" section above, but the 15 vote calculation limit is designed to let people easily try out the Extension to see if it will work for them. If it does and they want to run contests with larger groups, then that's where the paid plan would come in to play. If you don't want to pay, that's totally fine. Over 90% of RankedVote's users don't as the free plans work well for them (small groups, book clubs, etc.). And, if you've got ideas for how to make the Chrome Extension better, you can head over to https://www.rankedvote.co/contact and send them in.

This is great, but it lacks one feature. I would like to add hyperlinks to each choice, and that seems to mess up the format in GoogleSheets. Anyone have a solution?
Hi Mary...Glad you're enjoying it! My recommendation for your scenario is to include the hyperlinks to the choices in whatever tool you're using to collect the survey data. So, if you're using Google Forms, include links to the choices there (or SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, or whatever other tool you use). The Google Sheet works best as the source of truth for the ballot data. Here's a full walkthrough on how you can set up Google Forms and Google Sheets to work together (and use the RankedVote Chrome Extension to calculate the ranked-choice questions) -- https://www.rankedvote.co/guides/using-rankedvote/use-ranked-choice-voting-chrome-extension

We have done a number of rank choice voting calculations manually for various employee polls, and it was painstaking and slow. The RankedVote app makes ranked choice voting with Google Forms and Google Sheets soooo much easier!

Does exactly what it promises. This is the way for ranked choice voting. RankedVote was very responsive to my suggestions - awesome!

We did a previous ranked choice election in excel which was time consuming and discouraging, this is instant and fabulous, worth the pro version!

I just used the extension on a preference ballot used via Google forms in my school. So awesome! I love it!! The pathway to the results is clear and simple. The results are delivered quickly and the animation showing how the rounds shake out provide a robust opportunity for learning with regards to instant runoff voting.
