Rank On Top: Technical SEO Audit, Crawler & Meta Tags
Overview
One-click technical SEO audit: meta tags, indexability, redirects, schema, links, crawler. Runs locally — no account, no cloud.
Rank On Top is a technical SEO audit tool that runs entirely in your browser. Open it on any page and get an indexability verdict, 82 on-page checks, rendered-vs-source comparison, and a site crawler — with no account, no API key, and nothing sent to a server. WHAT IT CHECKS • Indexability — one verdict from HTTP status, robots.txt, meta robots, X-Robots-Tag, canonical, sitemap presence and internal links, with every conflicting signal named. • Meta tags and metadata — title, description, canonical, robots, viewport, Open Graph, Twitter cards, and a live SERP preview measured in pixels rather than characters, so Bengali, Arabic, Thai, Hindi and CJK titles are measured correctly. • Headings and content — heading order, word counts, language-aware segmentation, keyword coverage for terms you enter, and one-, two- and three-word phrase discovery. • Images — missing alt attributes, intrinsic versus rendered size at your device pixel ratio, transferred bytes, and one-click WebP conversion of the current size. • Links — internal and external inventory, nofollow/sponsored/UGC, anchor text, and a live broken-link check that requests the sites you point at directly from your browser. • Redirects and headers — full redirect chains with the status of every hop, response headers, canonical per hop, WAF detection and character-encoding checks. • Structured data — JSON-LD, Microdata and RDFa, validated against the current Google Search Gallery, with retired features flagged instead of scored as passes. • Social previews — Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Discord and Slack cards rendered from the actual markup. • International SEO — hreflang clusters fetched and checked for reciprocity, return tags, self-reference and protocol consistency. • Accessibility — names, labels, frames, ARIA references, focus order, dialogs, landmarks and WCAG 2.2 target-size candidates. • Performance — Core Web Vitals observed in your own session (LCP, INP, CLS), labelled as observed values, never presented as field data. • AI search — an AI crawler allow/block matrix, optional llms.txt parsing, and answer- and citation-readiness observations. SITE CRAWLER Crawl a whole site from the DevTools panel: breadth-first, with concurrency limits, crawl delay, robots.txt handling, rate-limit backoff, and pause, resume and cancel. Results are stored locally in your browser and become site-wide reports — errors, redirects, noindex pages, click depth, duplicate titles, the internal link graph, and the page tree. SEO X-RAY Highlight what matters directly on the page: heading structure, link types, image problems and structured data, including inside closed shadow roots. Every finding carries the element's selector, so "Inspect in Elements" opens the exact node in DevTools. SEARCH CONSOLE (OPTIONAL) Connect your own Google account and the panel reads your own Search Console data through Google's official API, straight from your browser. It then cross-checks Google's answer against the local audit — including the one thing no local tool can tell you on its own: that Google chose a different canonical from the one you declared. Access is requested only when you connect, scoped to Google's API, and can be withdrawn at any time. A user who never connects grants nothing. PRIVACY No account. No sign-up. No telemetry, analytics or tracking of any kind. No server of ours is involved in an audit, because there is no server. Pages you audit are read in your browser and stay there; crawl data is stored in your browser and you can delete it in Settings. Installing shows no host permission warning at all. The extension holds no standing site access: it reads the page you are on when you click its icon, and asks for access to a specific origin at the moment you start a link check, a redirect trace or a crawl. That makes it usable where hosted SEO tools are not — agencies under NDA, pre-launch staging sites, and companies whose policy forbids pasting URLs into third-party services. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO We analyse what browsers and crawlers can actually see. We do not estimate traffic, keyword volume, domain authority or backlink counts. Those require a licensed dataset and a backend, and inventing them from heuristics would make every other number here untrustworthy. Backlink figures shown in the Search Console workspace are Google's own truncated sample, captured from the Links report you can already see, dated and labelled as a snapshot. Local scores are a transparent weighted diagnostic of the checks on this page. They are not Google ranking scores and not Lighthouse results — browsers do not expose Lighthouse's trace engine to extension panels, so metrics that need a controlled trace are reported as "Not measured" instead of being synthesized. EXPORTS CSV, JSON, Markdown and a self-contained HTML report you can send to a client. BUILT FOR Technical SEO specialists and consultants, in-house SEOs under security policy, front-end developers who own SEO outcomes, and agencies auditing client sites under NDA. Two surfaces: a compact side panel for a quick verdict on the current page, and a full DevTools panel — the workspace for crawling, previews, structured data and Search Console.
