Overview

Spin a fair, animated wheel to pick a random name. Add names, spin, and optionally remove winners.

Random name picker & spin-the-wheel tool — fair, cryptographically random winners Random Name Picker is a fast, fair, and honestly private "spin the wheel" tool for teachers, facilitators, and team leads — pick a random student to call on, a random teammate for a task, or a random raffle winner. It runs entirely in your browser, requests no page access, and is fully transparent about exactly how its randomness works (see below). Add names, hit Spin, and watch an animated wheel land on a winner. That's it. FAIR BY DESIGN Every spin uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (the same kind of randomness used for security-sensitive code), with bias-safe rejection sampling — not a naive calculation that quietly favors some names over others. The wheel's geometry and winner-resolution logic are covered by an extensive automated test suite checking segment boundaries, wrap-around, and statistical uniformity, so every name gets exactly the odds its weight implies. PRIVATE BY DESIGN This is a self-contained popup tool: it never reads the active tab or any page content, requests no host permissions, and injects no scripts. Your lists never leave your browser. This extension collects no data of any kind — no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry. The only network traffic it ever makes is a purchase-verification check with ExtensionPay if you choose to upgrade. FREE, AND GENUINELY USEFUL - One wheel: add and remove names freely. - Spin an animated wheel to pick a fair, random winner. - Remove-winner mode: the winner drops off the wheel, so repeated spins cycle through everyone without repeats — great for "call on everyone once" classroom use. PREMIUM ($5 one-time) For anyone managing multiple groups or wanting more control: - Multiple saved named lists (e.g. "Homeroom," "Lunch Duty," "Book Club") — save, load, and switch between them instantly. - Weighted names: give any name a higher or lower chance of being picked. - Wheel color themes: four built-in color palettes. - Local spin history: an on-device log of past spins, so you can show who's already won — stored only on your device. No subscription, no account required — pay once, keep the features.
