RamenSplit is a privacy-first Chrome side-panel extension for people who use AI tools. When a supported AI interface is generating a response, RamenSplit can show one clearly labeled sponsor card and record a bounded, user-authorized attention event for the RamenSplit earnings ledger. The goal is a transparent exchange: developers and companies can sponsor a small placement for an audience actively using AI, while users can see the attention and earnings data associated with their installation. RamenSplit is an early beta, so earnings are not guaranteed and payout setup may be unavailable while the service is being validated. -------------What RamenSplit does------------- - Opens as a persistent Chrome side panel from the toolbar. - Guides a new installation through account authorization, privacy consent, and onboarding. - Detects generation state on supported AI hosts without reading the page's prompts, responses, or code. - Shows a single, clearly labeled sponsor card only during an attributable generation session. - Tracks bounded attention duration and syncs it to the user's RamenSplit account when online. - Queues eligible events locally when the network is unavailable and retries them safely. - Shows server-authoritative earnings and verified attention in the side panel. - Includes pause and Privacy mode controls that stop sponsor display and tracking. -------------Supported AI hosts------------- - ChatGPT (`chatgpt.com`, including supported subdomains and legacy `chat.openai.com`) - Claude (`claude.ai`) - DeepSeek (`chat.deepseek.com`) - Perplexity (`www.perplexity.ai`) - v0 (`v0.dev`) -------------Privacy by design------------- RamenSplit does not read or transmit prompts, model responses, page text, generated code, or general browsing history. The content script only checks generation-related UI signals, such as stop-generation controls, to determine when a supported interface appears to be generating. Events are limited to an installation-scoped authorization token, supported platform name, bounded attention duration, campaign attribution fields when a sponsor is shown, and random event IDs used to prevent duplicates.
