Overview

Format input text by replacing linefeeds with commas, wrapping at 70 chars, and keeping history.

Quotes & Commas is a lightweight Chrome extension that instantly cleans up and restructures raw, pasted text — especially lists of IDs, codes, or values — into ready-to-use formats without leaving the browser. What it does: Paste any list of items (IDs, codes, tags, etc.) into the ORIGINAL box, one per line Instantly view the cleaned-up FORMATTED version in a separate output panel Toggle quoting on/off and switch between single-quote and double-quote styles with one click Convert lists into JSON-ready format ("JSON+") for quick use in code, queries, or API payloads Copy either the original or formatted text to the clipboard with a single click Clear both panels instantly to start fresh Automatically saves recent original inputs to a "Recent History" panel, each timestamped, so previously formatted lists can be recopied without retyping Key features: Two-panel workspace: ORIGINAL (raw input) and FORMATTED (processed output) Quote toggle: wrap each item in quotes or leave as plain text Single vs. double quote style switch JSON+ button for one-click JSON-array-style formatting One-click Copy buttons for both original and formatted text Recent History sidebar with quick-access timestamps and per-entry Copy buttons Clean, distraction-free popup UI with a "Formatter" and "History" tab layout and a Settings icon for quick configuration access Why use it: Ideal for developers, QA testers, analysts, or anyone who regularly copies raw lists (like database IDs, SKUs, or ticket numbers) and needs them reformatted into quote-wrapped, comma-separated, or JSON-friendly strings for pasting into code, spreadsheets, or query tools — all without opening a separate app or writing a script.
