Overview

Gobble useful lines from the web into a local-first quote pantry.

Quote Gobbler is a lightweight clipping tool for writers, researchers, editors, students, and anyone who collects useful lines from the web. Highlight text on a page, click Gobble, and Quote Gobbler saves the quote with its page title, URL, source domain, and saved date. You can search your saved quotes, mark favorites, add notes and tags, copy quotes as Markdown, reopen the original source, or export your visible quote set. Everything is stored locally in Chrome. There is no account, no backend, no analytics, and no AI processing. Key features: Save selected text from the current page Keep source title, URL, domain, and saved date Search saved quotes Add tags and notes Mark favorite quotes Copy individual quotes as Markdown Export visible quotes as Markdown Copy a JSON backup Local-first storage Quote Gobbler is intentionally small, fast, and private. It is not a full citation manager or read-it-later app. It is a tiny quote pantry for the lines you want to find again.
