Quintet – Themes for YouTube

Eight complete themes for YouTube: colors, typography and layout. Not affiliated with YouTube or Google.

Quintet restyles YouTube with eight complete themes. Each one changes colors, typography, spacing and layout, so the whole site feels consistent, not just the background. Switching themes cross-fades smoothly in current browsers. MAKE IT YOURS - Pick an accent color, spacing, text size and corner radius - Choose how many videos fit per row on Home, Subscriptions and Channel pages - Switch themes from the popup or from a small button inside YouTube itself - Day/night schedule: switch at set times or follow your system - Save up to 10 of your own looks - Add your own CSS (remote files and web addresses in it are ignored) - Export and import your settings, with undo, and optionally sync them through your browser's own sync FIX THE NEW YOUTUBE - Recommended videos: shrink the list next to the player, so the video and the titles get their room back - Solid player controls: opaque buttons and menus you can read over any video - Flat style: sharper corners, no glow and no see-through panels - Hide comments until you ask, so they cannot spoil a video (off by default) - Classic watch layout: asks YouTube to skip its layout tests, such as comments in a side panel (experimental, off by default, may stop working when YouTube changes) POLISHED AND PRIVATE - A soft glass popup and settings page with smooth animations (switched off if you prefer reduced motion) - Styles and layout only. It does not block ads or change playback. The two extras that go beyond styling (hiding comments until you ask, and the classic watch layout) are optional and off by default. - Collects no data and makes no network requests. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. - Needs only access to www.youtube.com and local storage for your settings. - Works on Chrome and Firefox, in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, German, Italian, Japanese and Hindi. - Completely free. - One switch turns it off and shows native YouTube again.
