QuietBrowse blocks ads, trackers and cookie banners without sending anything about your browsing to a server. There's no account, no analytics and no telemetry. Everything runs on your device. WHY PEOPLE USE IT • Cleaner pages: ads, pop-ups and cookie-consent banners are gone. • See who's watching: the popup lists every tracker on the page by name (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar and so on). • Nothing leaves your browser: settings, stats and learned trackers stay in Chrome's local storage and are deleted when you remove the extension. • Open source (GPL-3.0), so anyone can check what it does. • Scores 96/100 on adblock-tester.com. BLOCKING • EasyList and EasyPrivacy, the same community lists used by uBlock Origin, refreshed automatically every 24 hours. • 12,000+ network rules and 29,000+ cosmetic selectors that hide leftover ad boxes. • Tracker learning: spots third-party domains that follow you across sites and lets you review or auto-block them, all on-device. • CNAME uncloaking: catches trackers disguised as part of the site you're on. • Cookie-banner rejection that only touches consent pop-ups. • Tracking-parameter stripping (utm_*, fbclid, gclid and similar) before the page loads. • YouTube video ads removed before playback starts. • Optional extra lists (Fanboy Annoyance, Fanboy Social, EasyList Cookie, regional) and your own custom lists. AT A GLANCE • Toolbar badge counting blocked requests per tab. • A trust score for each site (Excellent / Good / Caution / Danger) based on tracker density, connection security and phishing signals. EXTRA SAFETY (best-effort, not antivirus) • Password shield: copying from a password field puts random text on the clipboard instead of your password. • Phishing warnings for lookalike domains (paypa1.com), brand names in subdomains, character spoofing, raw IP addresses and unencrypted login forms. • Download guard: cancels double-extension tricks like invoice.pdf.exe. File contents aren't scanned, so keep your antivirus running. YOU'RE IN CONTROL • Per-site modes: full protection, allow ads (trackers still blocked), or pause. • "Fix this site": one click pauses QuietBrowse on a site that breaks. • Element zapper: right-click anything to hide it for good. • Every feature can be switched on or off on its own.
