Quiet Tabs — Auto Background Muter

Automatically mutes every background tab so only the tab you're looking at can make sound. No more hunting for the tab playing ads.

Only the tab you are actually looking at is allowed to make sound. Every background tab is muted automatically. When you switch tabs, the new one unmutes and the old one goes quiet. You stop hunting through fifteen tabs for the one playing an advert. There is nothing to configure. Install it and it works. Quiet Tabs reads which tabs exist and sets their muted state. It does not read page content and it makes no network requests.
