Turn down loud Netflix previews without changing the shows and movies you play. Mute previews or set a comfortable volume.

Netflix previews can start much louder than expected. Quiet Preview for Netflix keeps those surprise sounds under control. It adjusts only the previews shown on the Netflix home screen and title details. Shows and movies you choose to play keep their normal volume. Choose the mute behavior that works for you: • Mute previews by default: previews start muted, but you can unmute them later • Always mute previews: previews stay muted • Don't mute previews: use Netflix's own mute setting You can also set preview volume separately from the mute setting. A mute/volume icon on each preview makes the current state easy to see. The extension does not affect shows and movies opened with the Play button. When playback begins, the original volume state is restored automatically. Settings are stored with Chrome sync. The extension does not collect personal information, browsing history, viewing history, or video content, and sends no data to external servers.
