At its core, Quiet is a defense against digital addiction. Block sites. Scroll less. Live more.
Quiet is a simple effort to help people use tech without being used by it. I built it because it's what I needed. Whether you can't get anything done because of distracting apps, or you just need a minute to breathe, quiet should be able to help. It's simple, clean and intuitive. 3 main features: - A simple site block - A sleep block - A social media tracker The affected site list is customisable. Facebook, Youtube, Instagram and Twitter are automatically added. The rest is up to you. Blocking will redirect you anytime you try to access a site on the list. The tracker measures the time you spend on social media sites and outputs regular reminders to take a break. The sleep block is just a timed block so you can't access the sites when you should be sleeping. Notes: The controls you set can be removed as easily as they were put in place. So, if you struggle with sticking to a limit, I would recommend something more permanent. I may update quiet to have limits that can't be overcome easily, but that isn't a feature right now.
