Quiet Feed: Hide YouTube Shorts & Instagram Reels

Overview
Block YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, and remove the recommendations that keep you scrolling. No account, no tracking.
Quiet Feed hides YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and the recommendation feeds built to keep you scrolling. Block the parts that pull you in and keep the videos you actually came for: a calmer, distraction-free YouTube and Instagram in your browser. What it hides (each item has its own switch): • YouTube Shorts everywhere: search results, the sidebar, the bottom tab on mobile, Shorts shelves and the "Shorts" filter chip • YouTube home recommendations: open YouTube to a search box, not an endless grid • Suggestions next to videos, and the wall of suggestions when a video ends • Instagram Reels: the Reels tab, Reels in your feed, and the suggestion grid on the Search page • Optional: open Shorts links as normal videos Changes apply right away, without reloading the page. Private by design. No account, no analytics, no ads. Your settings stay in your browser. Every few hours the extension downloads a public list of which page elements to hide, so fixes arrive quickly when YouTube or Instagram change their pages. That request carries no information about you. Not affiliated with YouTube, Google, Instagram or Meta.
