Quiet Feed for LinkedIn

Hides the LinkedIn home feed, sidebar news and ads, and shows a quote with quick links. Messaging, jobs and posting still work.

Quiet Feed for LinkedIn hides the home feed on LinkedIn. In its place it shows one short quote and links to Messaging, Notifications, Jobs and your profile. The rest of the site works as usual: messaging, notifications, jobs, profiles, search, My Network, "Start a post", and single posts you open from a link. What it hides - The home feed at linkedin.com/feed, including posts loaded later by scrolling, the "Sort by" bar, the "New posts" button, and suggested and promoted posts - Sidebar cards: LinkedIn News, Today's puzzles, "Add to your feed" and promoted ads - "People you may know" cards on the feed page (the My Network page is not changed) Settings - Each item above has its own switch in the toolbar popup and on the options page - "Show quote" turns the quote on or off. The quick links stay either way. - "Pause for 5 minutes" shows the feed again for five minutes, then hides it on its own. "Resume now" ends the pause early. - "Show time spent on LinkedIn" (new in 1.1.0, on by default) shows how long you've spent on LinkedIn today, this week and this month, under the quick links. It counts only while a LinkedIn tab is in front and in use, and the totals stay on your device. - Changes apply to open tabs right away - The panel follows LinkedIn's light or dark theme Privacy - The only permission is "storage", used to save your settings with Chrome sync storage and, from 1.1.0, one time total per day in local storage on your device. The time totals are never sent or shared. - It runs only on www.linkedin.com - It makes no network requests and has no analytics, tracking or remote code. The quotes are included in the extension.
