Quid displays source-linked financial disclosures alongside videos when it recognizes a supported U.S. politician. Slim bars show campaign spending and remaining cash, outside spending supporting or opposing the candidate, and coordinated party spending. Sources shows reporting dates and links to disclosures. The Quid logo opens the politician's full financial breakdown on quid.wiki, including committee and stock-disclosure details where available. Face analysis runs locally in the active, visible browser tab. Screenshots, video frames and face measurements are not uploaded. Recognition is an estimate: matches can be wrong, and some video, lighting and browser conditions prevent a match. Coverage varies; missing information is shown as unavailable. Use the popup to disable analysis or automatic financial updates. Minimize or dismiss cards while watching. Recent matches keeps up to ten recognized politicians locally; Clear history removes the list. Private-browsing sightings are excluded. Automatic financial updates download the same verified public dataset for every viewer, without sending the video address, recognized politician, screenshot or face measurements. Quid needs website access to find playing videos and can capture the visible tab before cropping it to the video. The hosting provider receives ordinary connection information for website and data requests. Campaign receipts, donor gifts and spending are different measures and should not be added together.
