Quicky PDF turns your browser into a PDF editor. Open any PDF on the web and it opens in Quicky PDF instead of the plain viewer, with the tools right there in the toolbar. Highlight a clause, sign a contract, fill in a form, delete a page, compress it, or save it as images. Then download it. Your file never gets uploaded anywhere. WHAT YOU CAN DO WHILE READING Select text with your cursor and highlight it in one of four colours. Marks build up as you read, and when you're done you save a real PDF with the highlights in it. The text stays selectable and copyable afterwards, because the highlight goes under the words rather than painting over them. The toolbar acts on the document you're looking at, so there's no page range to type in. Extract the page you're on, delete it, compress the file, rotate and save, save every page as images, or split it into separate files. Print and download are there too. BEYOND THE VIEWER The toolbar covers what you need while reading. For bigger jobs, the popup opens a full workspace in its own tab. Combine several files into one document, or take one apart. Reorder, rotate, crop or remove pages. Shrink a heavy scan, draw a signature and place it, stamp a watermark or page numbers across every page. Black out text so it's genuinely gone, add or remove a password, fill in forms, compare two versions, rebuild a file that won't open, or turn photos into a document and each page back into an image. WHY IT ASKS FOR ACCESS TO ALL SITES To open a PDF in its own viewer, the extension has to notice when you navigate to one. A PDF can live at any address, so there's no way to list the sites in advance, and that's the only reason it asks for access to all of them. It's used for exactly one thing: spotting an address ending in .pdf and opening it in the Quicky PDF viewer instead of the browser's. The extension doesn't read, change or record any other page you visit. It runs no content scripts on the sites you browse. NOTHING IS UPLOADED Every tool runs inside your browser tab, on your own machine. The bytes of your file never leave your computer. The extension makes exactly one network request in its whole life: fetching the PDF you just opened, from the address you opened it from. That's the same request your browser was already going to make. There's no server of ours in the picture, no analytics, no tracking, no account and no sign-in. Download hands you back the original bytes untouched, so a file you didn't edit comes back byte for byte identical. WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOESN'T DO There's no OCR, and no converting PDFs into Word, Excel or PowerPoint. Those need an engine that can't run in a browser tab, and we'd rather leave them out than quietly send your document off to a server. Redaction works by turning the affected page into an image, so the text is genuinely gone rather than hidden behind a black box someone can select around. Free, no watermarks, no sign-up, no upsell.
