QuickTube Transcript is a simple Chrome extension that lets you reuse YouTube transcripts without any hassle. With one click, it fetches the transcript of the current YouTube video and lets you copy it or download it as a plain text file. Main features - One-click “Fetch from current YouTube tab” - Automatically opens the YouTube “Show transcript” panel when needed - Shows the full transcript in a clean text area for quick reading or editing - Copy button to send the transcript to your clipboard - Download .txt button to save the transcript as a UTF-8 text file - Works with both manual and auto-generated transcripts that are already available on YouTube What this extension does NOT do - Does not download audio or video - Does not record your screen or microphone - Does not run any speech recognition or create new subtitles Privacy - Only reads transcript text from YouTube pages you open - No analytics, no tracking, no ads - No data is sent to external servers - No personal data is collected or stored Disclaimer This extension is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
