QuickTex - Live Preview Extension

Requires the QuickTex add-on for Google Docs™ and Google Slides™. Adds live slide previews and keyboard shortcuts.

REQUIRES THE QUICKTEX ADD-ON This extension is now the optional Live Preview companion to the QuickTex add-on for Google Docs™ and Google Slides™. It does not work on its own. Install and authorize the add-on first, then open its composer in your document or presentation. Install and authorize the QuickTex add-on using the link above. 2. Open your document or presentation and choose Extensions → QuickTex → Open Composer. 3. Open the Live composer from the add-on, or use Command+Shift+9 on Mac or Alt+Shift+M on Windows/Linux. You can remap the shortcut in Google Chrome™. Use the same account at https://www.fullmarkseducation.com/quicktex to manage your allowance or subscription. The add-on works independently; this extension adds live previews and shortcuts. Both interfaces share the same account, document allowance, and subscription. FEATURES • Preview equations over the actual Google Slides™ canvas while composing. • Open the Live composer with a keyboard shortcut. • Choose an insertion position and update existing equations through the add-on. • See the captured target slide and retain unfinished drafts when you reopen the composer. • Continue typing in your presentation while an equation finishes inserting. WHAT'S NEW IN 0.3.0 • New add-on companion workflow: the QuickTex add-on is now required. • Draft recovery and corrected Display mode restoration when editing equations. • Improved text focus during insertion, slide-target protection, and pending-preview cleanup. • Improved composer layout and insertion responsiveness. PERMISSIONS AND DATA Core composition, native insertion, and live preview use the authorized QuickTex add-on. Optional exact baseline correction in Google Docs™ requests separate sign-in and drive.file access for the specific documents you authorize through the file picker. That optional grant is not required for core insertion or live slide preview. Equation-rendering libraries, icons, and fonts are packaged with QuickTex. Equation source and inserted images are processed in the browser and native editor services. The add-on sends identity and file/reservation identifiers to Full Marks Education's billing endpoint for subscription and allowance checks; equation source and document contents are not sent to that billing endpoint.
