Overview

Save reusable fields & insert them via right-click into any form. Supports dynamic dates, UUIDs, random strings & more.

Stop retyping the same text over and over. QuickFields gives you a personal autofill library — accessible from a single right-click on any form field, anywhere on the web. CleverClip QuickFields is a powerful yet lightweight Chrome extension that lets you save custom text snippets, dynamic date formats, UUIDs, and random strings — then insert them into any input field, textarea, or rich-text editor with one click. No more copy-pasting from Notepad, no more memorizing values, no more wasted keystrokes. Whether you're a developer testing forms, a QA engineer filling out tickets, a recruiter submitting applications, or anyone who types the same information repeatedly — QuickFields saves you time, every single day. ⚡ KEY FEATURES 📌 Right-Click Insert — Works Everywhere Access all your saved fields from the browser's native context menu. Right-click any editable field, select "Insert Field Value," and pick what you need. No keyboard shortcut to memorize. No popup to open first. It just works — on Gmail, LinkedIn, GitHub, Notion, Jira, Salesforce, and every other website. 🗂 Static Fields — Your Personal Text Library Save anything as a reusable field: email addresses, phone numbers, usernames, API keys, addresses, code snippets, template sentences, or any text you type repeatedly. One click to insert, everywhere you need it. ⚙️ Dynamic Fields — Smart Values That Update Automatically Create fields that resolve to the current value at the moment of insertion: - Date — fully customizable format (MM/DD/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY, YYYY.MM.DD and more), drag tokens to reorder - Time — HH:mm:ss - Day — full day name (Monday, Tuesday…) - Month — full month name (January, February…) - Year — choose YYYY or YY - UUID — cryptographically secure v4 UUID, generated fresh every time - Random String — configurable length (1–128 chars), choose uppercase, lowercase, digits, and/or symbols — powered by the Web Crypto API 🔍 Instant Search A built-in search bar filters your saved fields in real time as you type. Find what you need in milliseconds, even with a full library of 25 fields. 📋 One-Click Copy Every field has a copy button that instantly copies the resolved value to your clipboard — handy when you want to paste it yourself rather than right-clicking. 🌙 Dark Mode A full dark theme that matches your system preference and persists across sessions. Easy on the eyes during late-night work sessions. 📤 Export & Import Back up all your fields as a JSON file with one click. Restore them on a new device or share a configuration with your team. Imported fields merge with your existing ones — nothing gets accidentally overwritten. ☁️ Chrome Sync Your fields automatically sync across all devices where you're signed into Chrome. Set it up once on your laptop, and it's ready on your desktop and work machine instantly. 🔒 Secure by Design - Content Security Policy (CSP) enforced — no inline scripts, no external resources - All user content rendered via textContent — zero XSS risk - Random values generated with crypto.getRandomValues() — cryptographically secure - All data stored locally via Chrome Sync — nothing sent to any server - No analytics, no tracking, no ads, ever 👥 WHO IS THIS FOR? The interface is in English, and all websites in any language are fully supported. QuickFields is built by CleverClip — makers of tools that make the web work faster for you. QuickFields injects into any standard <input>, <textarea>, or contentEditable element on any website — including Google Docs, Gmail, Notion, LinkedIn, GitHub, Jira, Salesforce, and more. It also supports Shadow DOM elements used by modern web apps. The only exception is Chrome's own internal pages (like chrome://settings), which no extension can access for security reasons. 2. Is my data private? Does QuickFields send anything to a server? Absolutely nothing is sent anywhere. QuickFields has no backend, no account system, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Your fields are stored exclusively in Chrome's built-in Sync Storage — encrypted by Google and tied to your Chrome profile. CleverClip never sees your data. 3. How many fields can I save? You can save up to 25 custom fields. This is in addition to the built-in default Date field that is always available. 25 fields covers the needs of virtually all users, and keeps sync storage lean and fast. 4. What is the difference between a Static field and a Dynamic field? A Static field always inserts the exact text you saved — perfect for email addresses, usernames, phone numbers, or any fixed text. A Dynamic field resolves to a live value at the moment of insertion — for example, a Date field inserts today's date, a UUID field generates a fresh unique identifier, and a Random field generates a new random string each time. 5. Can I customize the date format? Yes, fully. When creating a Dynamic Date field, you can drag the day (DD), month (MM), and year (YYYY/YY) tokens into any order, and choose your preferred separator: /, -, ., or space. Examples: MM/DD/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY, YYYY.MM.DD, DD MM YYYY. A live preview updates instantly as you build your format. 6. How does the UUID field work? Is it truly unique? The UUID field generates a standard version 4 (v4) UUID using the browser's crypto.randomUUID() API — the same cryptographically secure source used by operating systems and security software. Each insertion produces a statistically unique identifier. The probability of a collision is astronomically small (effectively zero for any practical use). 7. How does the Random String field work? You configure the length (1–128 characters) and which character sets to include: uppercase letters (A-Z), lowercase letters (a-z), digits (0-9), and/or symbols (!@#$%...). The string is generated using crypto.getRandomValues() — cryptographically secure, not Math.random(). A fresh string is generated every time you insert the field. 8. Will my fields sync across my devices automatically? Yes. QuickFields uses Chrome Sync Storage, so your fields appear automatically on every device where you're signed into the same Chrome account. Changes made on one device propagate to others within seconds — no manual export/import needed. 9. How do I back up or transfer my fields? Open Settings (the gear icon) → Export Fields. This downloads a .json file containing all your fields with a timestamp. To restore or transfer, go to Settings → Import Fields and select the file. Imported fields are merged with your existing ones — no data is lost during import. 10. Can I edit or delete a field after saving it? Yes. In the popup, each saved field has an edit button (pencil icon) and a delete button (trash icon). Clicking edit loads the field back into the form so you can change its name, value, or type. Clicking delete shows a confirmation dialog before removing it permanently. 11. What permissions does QuickFields require and why? QuickFields requests only five permissions — all necessary for its core features: storage — to save and sync your fields via Chrome Sync contextMenus — to add the right-click "Insert Field Value" menu scripting + activeTab — to inject the selected value into the focused field on the current page downloads — to save your exported fields as a .json file No broad host permissions, no access to your browsing history, no reading of page content. 12. Does QuickFields work with password fields or sensitive inputs? QuickFields intentionally does not target <input type="password"> fields. The right-click context menu only appears on editable text fields. This is a security boundary — password managers are purpose-built for credential management and should be used for that purpose. 13. I right-clicked but my field didn't insert. What should I do? This can happen when the page uses a heavily customized input component. Try clicking inside the input field once to make sure it has focus, then right-click and select your field. If the field uses a Shadow DOM or iframe, QuickFields targets all frames automatically — but some highly sandboxed editors (like VS Code in the browser) may restrict external script injection at the browser level. 14. Is QuickFields free? Will it stay free? QuickFields is completely free to use with no feature limits, no paywalls, and no subscription. All current features — including dynamic fields, dark mode, UUID/random generation, import/export, and Chrome Sync — are available to everyone.
