QuickBlock

Toggles on/off and you can create settings for image vs scripts. Blocks javascript which can break some sites.. just toggle off. leaves image outline, blocks some icons , grays out video area. I'm seeing some previews. This is the only filter extension I've seen that is quite as encompassing including the javaScripts.

Thank you, thank! I am browsing this website: and it has the most ANNOYING animated flying bat script running that even block element extension couldn't get rid of. This addon works great and doesn't block all images on chrome that other guy is wrong. I'm happy I tried this out that you for restoring my sanity. I mean wth is that site doing using that code, it's not 1990 any more *rolls eyes*

Does what it should, does not download images for websites. Ux is a little dated, but there is also nothing to really understand ^^

I was mainly after not having ads and do distracting things. And site scrolling/switching. Tried a whole bunch of these blockers. Other ones failed to block ads while blocking pictures, others put a fuzzy screen over, through which you could still see distracting changes/movements-ad if that wasn't bad enough the color of the screen changes when the contents it was covering changed! Best extension so far on Chrome, I give it 5 starts. It does what it is said. Great tool for bandwidth. If you add shortcuts in Chrome, you will be able use it a lot faster.

I don't recommended: 1. It's not site specific, if you block images, it will block all images on Chrome. 2. It actually goes in and messes with your Chrome Settings. It seems like it was easy to undo, but I don't feel comfortable with that. 3. It replaces images with the broken image icon. 4. Images take up the same amount of space.

It doesn't work. NONE of these image blockers work.

This extension is so simple but do its job perfectly. It is usefull for saving your prepaid internet allowance (quota) or when your internet is slow and you only need the text.
