Quick Video Snippets
Overview
Record a 30-second camera or screen video, auto-upload it, and get a shareable link on your clipboard.
Say it in 30 seconds. Some things are painful to type and instant to show: a bug you just hit, a formula in a spreadsheet, feedback on a design, a quick explanation for a student or colleague. Quick Video Snippets turns those moments into a link you can paste anywhere — Slack, email, a ticket, a chat. HOW IT WORKS Click the icon (or press Alt+Shift+S) and pick Camera, Screen, or Screen + Camera. Record up to 30 seconds — a short countdown, a visible timer ring, and an automatic stop. Paste. The video uploads itself and the share link is already on your clipboard. WHY THE 30-SECOND LIMIT? Because your viewer's time matters, and because a constraint is the fastest editor. No timeline, no trimming, no "processing…" screen — if it wasn't right, re-record. It takes 30 seconds. FEATURES • Camera, screen, or screen with a circular camera bubble overlay • Automatic upload + link copied to your clipboard the moment you stop • Hard 30-second cap with countdown and timer ring • Anyone with the link can watch and download — no account needed on either side • Choose your storage: our free cloud, or your own custom upload endpoint • Available in 17 languages, right-to-left layouts included PRIVACY, BY ARCHITECTURE • Nothing is recorded until you press start — ever • No account, no sign-up, no profile • Links are unguessable and excluded from search indexing • Storage is private; playback uses short-lived signed URLs • Uninstalling permanently deletes every video you created FOR PROFESSIONALS AND SCHOLARS Bug reports that reproduce themselves. Spreadsheet walkthroughs that don't need a meeting. Async feedback with tone and context. Micro-lectures your students actually watch to the end. Free. Featherweight (~64 KB). No bloat. — Made by OpenJargon · https://openjargon.com/video-snippets
