Select text, right-click, and read the translation in a bubble on the current page — no new tabs.

Translate selected text without leaving the page. Quick Translate shows translations in a small floating bubble on your current web page. Select text, right-click, and choose “Translate this selection” to read the translation while continuing to browse. No extra tab or separate translation page is needed. Features • Automatically detects the source language. • Translates into Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), English, Japanese, or Korean. • Remembers your preferred target language. • Lets you copy the translation, expand the original text, and retry a failed request. • Includes a draggable bubble, light and dark themes, and an Esc shortcut to close. • Provides English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese interface text based on your Chrome display language. How to use 1. Open a regular web page and select the text you want to translate. 2. Right-click and choose “Translate this selection”. 3. Read the translation in the bubble. Change the target language or copy the result as needed. Privacy When you request a translation, the selected text and language parameters are sent directly to Google over HTTPS. The developer does not operate a server that receives your translation content. The extension does not proactively save selected text or translations to persistent storage or logs, and includes no advertising, analytics, or telemetry. It stores your target-language preference locally and temporarily keeps error information for status messages. The translation bubble cannot run on protected browser pages, including chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store. Quick Translate uses an unofficial Google web translation endpoint, which may be rate-limited, changed, or become unavailable.
