Quick Subject Edit

Opens Gmail's Edit subject action automatically when you start a reply, so the subject is editable without using the menu.

Gmail can already change the subject of a reply. It's just buried: open the caret next to the recipient, find "Edit subject" among the reply and forward options, and click it. Quick Subject Edit does that for you the moment a reply or forward opens, so the subject line is ready to edit. WHAT TO EXPECT - Gmail turns the compose into a separate window when the subject becomes editable. That is Gmail's own behaviour for this action, not something the extension adds. Your quoted thread and forwarded message come across intact. - It only acts on a compose you have not written in yet. If you have already started typing, it leaves the message alone. PRIVACY - No permissions beyond running on mail.google.com. - No network requests, no storage, no analytics, no tracking. - Your email content is never read, copied, logged, or sent anywhere.
