Configurable search shortcuts for multiple websites.

Quick Searcher is a lightweight Chrome extension that lets you open custom searches on your favorite websites from one compact popup. Instead of typing full URLs or remembering different search syntaxes, you define simple presets once and then reuse them with a single shortcut. HOW IT WORKS • You define a search preset with: – name (optional), – description (optional), – URL template with a {q} placeholder, – optional icon URL, – options such as “open in new tab” or “separator”. • When you click the extension icon, a popup appears with all your presets. • For each preset you type a query and press Enter. • Quick Searcher replaces {q} in the URL template with your query and opens the target page. EXAMPLES • Git repository search: https://git.example.com/search?q={q} • Task tracker: https://jira.example.com/issues/?jql=text~"{q}" • Documentation: https://docs.example.com/search/{q} KEY FEATURES • Multiple custom search presets. • Optional icon and description for each preset. • Minimal popup mode – only icon and text field. • Option to open results in the current tab or in a new tab. • Lightweight visual separators between groups of searches. • Ability to reorder presets (move up/down). • Works entirely locally in the browser. PRIVACY Quick Searcher does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All configuration (your search presets and settings) is stored locally using Chrome’s storage. No data is sent to any external servers and nothing is shared with third parties. PERMISSIONS The extension uses: • "tabs" – to open or update the current tab with the search URL, • "storage" – to store your presets and settings. Both are required only to provide the described functionality.
