Quick Replies Local
Overview
Smart phrase completion in text fields across the web.
Quick Replies Local is a smart phrase-completion tool that helps you find and insert frequently used text in editable fields across the web. It works with regular inputs, text areas, and modern contenteditable editors. Key features: • Search from the first character across message text, titles, tags, and categories • Multi-word matching that requires every search term • Results ranked by message relevance and word-start matches • Fast keyboard, mouse, and Enter selection • Optional instant shortcuts that run as soon as they are typed • Multiple searchable tags for each reply • Cursor, clipboard, and Enter variables • Multiline messages and automatic trailing-space support • Field-level and URL-pattern exclusions • Categories, drag-and-drop ordering, and bulk actions • Autosave plus JSON import and export How it works Start typing in an editable field and the extension searches your saved replies. The most relevant matches appear in a compact suggestion panel. Select a result with the arrow keys and press Enter, or click it with the mouse. Escape temporarily pauses suggestions in that field. A period or new line starts a fresh search phrase. You can assign an optional shortcut to any reply. For example, typing “hi” can immediately replace those characters with “Hello.” Shortcuts do not wait for a space or Enter. Duplicate shortcuts and prefix conflicts are blocked to keep execution predictable. Message variables • {{cursor}} places the caret at a chosen position after insertion. • {{clipboard}} inserts clipboard text at the chosen position. • {{enter}} optionally triggers an Enter action after insertion. The settings page lets you organize replies into categories, add searchable tags, reorder items by dragging, and move or delete multiple records at once. Changes are saved automatically. Categories use stable IDs, so renaming a category does not break its replies. Replies from a deleted category move to Uncategorized. Replies, categories, tags, shortcuts, and exclusion rules are stored in Chrome local storage on your device. The extension does not send your content to an external server. Clipboard text is read only when a reply you choose contains the {{clipboard}} variable.
