Quick AO Lightmapper - BabylonJS & ThreeJS Editor

Overview
Bake ambient occlusion maps directly inside Babylon.js Sandbox and Three.js Editor using GPU-accelerated WebGL2 ray tracing.
Bring one-click lightmap baking directly to Babylon Sandbox and Three.js Editor. This extension automatically detects when you're working in Babylon Sandbox or Three.js Editor and adds a convenient button to the interface, allowing you to generate and apply lightmaps without leaving the browser. Powered by the Quick AO Lightmapper engine, the extension extracts the loaded scene geometry, automatically generates UV2 coordinates using XAtlas, bakes high-quality Ambient Occlusion (AO) lightmaps using GPU acceleration, and instantly applies the resulting textures to the scene materials. The entire workflow runs locally in your browser, with no external software, exports, or uploads required. ## Key Features * Automatic detection of Babylon Sandbox and Three.js Editor. * Native UI integration with a floating Bake Lightmap button. * Automatic UV2 generation using XAtlas. * GPU-accelerated Ambient Occlusion lightmap baking. * Easy AO intensity presets (Low, Mid, High). * Improved UV unwrap generation for higher-quality results. * Enhanced noise reduction for cleaner AO textures. * Skeletal Mesh support (Beta). * Selective mesh processing for targeted baking workflows. * Click-to-select mesh interaction. * Shift + Drag box selection support (Select Meshes mode). * Clear AO Lightmaps action to remove all generated AO maps with a single click. * Instant application of baked lightmaps to scene materials. * Control AO Level after processing. * Real-time preview directly inside the editor. * No manual export/import workflow required. * Fully local processing with no external servers. * Works with models and scenes loaded directly in Babylon.js Sandbox and Three.js Editor. ## Perfect For * Babylon.js developers. * Three.js developers. * 3D artists and technical artists. * Game development workflows. * Web-based product configurators and visualization tools. * Fast lighting prototyping and scene optimization. Generate, apply, preview, and iterate on baked lightmaps in seconds—directly inside Babylon Sandbox and Three.js Editor, with a single click. Select only the meshes you want to process, fine-tune AO intensity, and achieve better visual quality without leaving your browser. ## IMPORTANT - GPU PERFORMANCE For the best baking performance, it is recommended to run your browser using your system's High Performance GPU. * Windows: Go to Settings → System → Display → Graphics, select your browser, and choose High Performance. * Linux: Launch the browser using the dedicated GPU (NVIDIA PRIME, Discrete Graphics, or your distribution's equivalent option). * macOS: GPU selection is handled automatically by the system. For best performance, use the device connected to power and avoid power-saving modes. The extension works on integrated GPUs, but a dedicated High Performance GPU can significantly reduce bake times and improve responsiveness.
