Overview
Legal research organizer for WestLaw and Lexis+.
QuestLaw is a legal research companion for Westlaw, Lexis, and Word. Save authorities, notes, and markup in a single place. Track legal-test analysis across cases. Sync your research with QuestLaw's Word Add-In for one-click cite and BlueBook audits. -------------------------------- QuestLaw is now available in public beta! What’s New? - import offline sources: PDF import now available via the web application - automated connection mapping: sources in your library that cite each other will be automatically logged - omni search: search now includes source text - Open-source MCP available for Claude, ChatGPT, and other GenAI tools --- QuestLaw sits in a collapsible side panel in your browser while you work. It works with Lexis and Westlaw, and it also supports most other webpages. Save authorities, selected quotes, and markup with a single click. QuestLaw automatically parses the authority, citation, court, date, source link, selected language, and pincites straight into your library. Highlight a passage in an opinion and QuestLaw automagically captures the pincite and language. Everything you capture lands in a structured library that travels wherever you need it. QuestLaw lets you build a workspace for a matter, a motion, a memo, a love letter, or anything else you're working through, and define the tests, factors, or elements you need to track. Inside a workspace you can: - Define tests, elements, and sub-elements that structure the legal question you're analyzing - Record an outcome and analysis for each authority against those tests - View your research as a library, a table, or a side-by-side comparison, whichever way makes the pattern easiest to see - Copy and paste your matrix directly into Excel or Google Sheets SYNCS WITH WORD The chrome extension syncs with QuestLaw's Word Add-In. It can run a targeted Bluepages review on your draft. It flags citation issues, suggests fixes, and surfaces the specific rule behind each flag. WHERE'S THE AI??? IT AIN'T HERE. QuestLaw does not use AI to parse citations, validate formatting, nada. Your work is never fed to an LLM, and it is never used to train one. ENCRYPTED, SECURE, AND PRIVATE Your library is encrypted everywhere it goes: on your device, in transit to the cloud, at rest in the cloud, and when it's carried over into Word. See https://questlaw.io/docs#security for more details. QuestLaw is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by Thomson Reuters (Westlaw), LexisNexis or RELX, Microsoft, or the publishers of The Bluebook.
