Overview
Hide distracting elements to browse with intention.
Browse with intention. Problem Modern websites make it hard to stay focused and present. Feeds, recommendations, comments, and other distractions constantly pull your attention away from what you intended to do. Over time, this makes it harder to work, learn, and be fully present in your life. Solution Quendel lets you remove them. Point at any distracting element on a page and hide it, for good. What you remove stays gone each time you return, and your changes follow you to every device you sign in on. What's left is a quieter web that shows you what you came for. How it works Open Quendel on any site, point at an element, and hide it. Nothing is deleted, only hidden, so a switch on each filter, or one for the whole site, brings everything back whenever you want. Your hidden elements are saved on your device and reapplied instantly. Sign in, and they sync across all your devices. Where it fits During focused work or study, to keep your tools free of noise. In everyday browsing, to spend your attention deliberately rather than by default. Why we built it Attention is the raw material of a conscious life. We believe humanity rises on the uniqueness of its consciousness, and we want to make the greatest possible impact toward unlocking its full potential. Quendel is a first step, giving people back the attention the web is built to take. Who we are Aaron and Johan Ypyä, two brothers and engineers from Finland. Reach us at support@quendel.app. Data and privacy Quendel works fully on your device, and signed out it sends nothing on its own. Sync is optional. Signing in stores your email address, and if you use Google, that account's display name. After that, each filter uploads the site and page where you hid something, the hidden element's CSS selector and nearby attributes, which elements you kept visible if you hid a set, whether the filter is on and whether the site is paused, when it was created or changed, and the filter's name — one you typed, or a short label we generate from the element, which can include a little text from the page. Nothing else about the pages you visit is uploaded, nothing you type apart from a name you chose, and your browsing itself is never tracked. You are shown exactly this before anything is uploaded, and your filters are stored under your account and are not readable by other users. If you send feedback, your message goes with that site's domain, Quendel's version, and your browser and OS, linked to your account. You can sign out at any time to stop syncing, or delete your account to remove all your filter data from our servers. Feedback you've sent is kept, but unlinked from you.
