Save once. Launch anytime. Question Store has a single purpose: helping users save, organize, and quickly open their own prompts and reference items from Chrome's Side Panel. Question Store stores user data locally in Chrome. It does not operate a backend server, account system, analytics system, advertising system, or tracking system. The sidePanel permission is used to display the Question Store interface inside Chrome's Side Panel. The storage permission is used to save prompts, bookmarks, videos, maps, calendar events, alarms, image attachments, settings, and preferences locally in the browser. The tabs permission is used to open saved prompts, bookmarks, video links, map links, and AI search pages in the current tab or a new tab. It is also used when the user explicitly saves the current page. The activeTab and scripting permissions are used only after a user action, such as saving the current page or reading page metadata for a bookmark. The alarms permission is used to schedule user-created local alarms and calendar reminders. The notifications permission is used to show a Chrome notification when a user-created alarm or calendar reminder time is reached. The offscreen permission is used to play a short local alarm sound when a user-created alarm time is reached. User data is stored locally in Chrome. Question Store does not send saved prompts, bookmarks, calendar notes, alarms, or attachments to a Question Store server. When users launch a prompt or open a saved item, the selected text or URL may be sent to the third-party service chosen by the user.
