QR Generator Next turns any text or the current tab URL into a scannable QR code from a clean toolbar popup — generated entirely in your browser, with no servers involved. KEY FEATURES • Text to QR — type or paste any text, link, Wi‑Fi string, or contact info • Current tab URL — fill the field with one click from the active page • Live preview — see the QR code update as you edit • Download PNG — save qr-code.png to your Downloads folder • Copy image — paste the QR code into chats, docs, or design tools • Size options — 128, 192, 256, 320, or 384 px (default: 256) • Error correction — L, M, Q, or H levels for different print/scan needs • Light / Dark / System theme for popup and settings HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the extension icon in the toolbar. 2. Enter text or tap Use current tab URL. 3. Preview the QR code in the popup. 4. Download the PNG or copy the image to the clipboard. QR encoding runs locally in the extension using bundled JavaScript. When you use current tab URL, Chrome reads the active tab address only after you open the popup and tap the button — the URL is not uploaded to any server. The developer does not operate a backend and does not receive your QR content. IMPORTANT • Very long text may produce dense QR codes — use a higher error-correction level or shorter content if scanning fails. • QR codes encode exactly what you enter — double-check URLs before sharing. • Downloaded files are saved through your browser's normal download flow. • The extension does not scan or decode QR codes — generation only.
