Overview

Instantly turn the current tab URL into a QR code, or generate a QR from any text. One-click PNG download.

QR Coder is the fastest way to turn a browser tab into a QR code. Open the popup and your current tab URL is already encoded — just point your phone's camera and you're there. Need a QR for something else? Type or paste any text into the box: a Wi-Fi password, a message, a phone number, a long form link. The QR updates as you type. What it does • Auto-generates a QR code from the active tab URL • Generates a QR code from any custom text or URL • Live preview as you type • Adjustable size (160–320 px) • One-click PNG download with a clean filename Why you might like it • Tiny popup, dark interface, calm colors • Pairs perfectly with the "Developer Minimal" theme • 100% offline — the QR is rendered in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere • No analytics, no tracking, no remote scripts, no background workers • Only one permission: activeTab, used solely to read the URL of the tab you click from Privacy QR Coder does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data. The extension does not phone home, does not include third-party trackers, and does not contain remote code. Everything happens in your local browser. Open code, single purpose, zero clutter.
