Overview

AI companion for Qlik Sense: a chat that reads and edits the app you have open, plus load-script templates and checks.

Qloud Cover App+ is an AI-assisted companion for building and analysing Qlik Sense apps, inside Qlik's own web pages. It works on Qlik Cloud and on Qlik Sense Enterprise client-managed (on-premise), and uses the AI provider you choose, or the server your organisation runs. It runs only on the Qlik sites you allow. A fresh install has no access to any Qlik site: you enable Qlik Cloud (all tenants, or named tenants) or each on-premise Qlik server yourself, through Chrome's own permission prompt. In the Data Load Editor - Command palette (Ctrl+Shift+Q) with a catalogue of load-script templates: control flow, data shaping, lookups and joins, calendars, logging, QVD patterns. Each has a form for its parameters. - Managed helper subroutines that are added once to a marked block at the top of the script and kept up to date. - Ask AI about the current section, the whole script or a selected passage. Proposed changes are shown as a diff and written only when you accept. - Script check (structural mistakes, with a jump to the line), formatter, execution overview, a wrapper over Qlik's script debugger with breakpoints, and markers on the sections that need attention. - Your own templates and categories, exportable as JSON. Chat on your apps - A chat panel on sheets, the app overview, the hub and the Data Load Editor. It knows which app and sheet you are on and, by default, which fields you have filtered (not the selected values unless you switch that on). - Connect a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, such as the Qlik Cloud MCP server or your organisation's own, and the AI can read your app's data model and chart data and make changes in it. Every tool call is shown in the chat. Unless your organisation's policy allows a tool, its first use asks for your approval (once, or always), and tools that change your app ask every time. - Page actions in your own Qlik session: make or clear selections, go to a sheet, highlight a chart, each shown in the chat. - Sheet Builder: draw the layout of a new sheet on Qlik's grid, say what each part should show, and let the AI build it through your MCP server. - With an MCP server for Qlik Sense client-managed that offers them: a chat in the Qlik Management Console, and an inbox of briefings your server prepares after a reload. - Optional browser notification when a chat reply finishes (off by default). Also included - Export a Data Model Viewer table to CSV, Excel or QVD, straight to your disk. - Hold a key over a chart to see its object id and properties, ready to copy. - Optional Git-backed versioning of load scripts to GitLab or GitHub with your own credentials. - Optional anonymisation of field, table and connection names before a prompt leaves the browser. - Optional passphrase encryption of stored API keys. - For organisations: central configuration from the organisation's own server ("Fleet"), and Chrome enterprise policy to restrict what users can change. What you need - A Qlik Cloud tenant or a Qlik Sense Enterprise client-managed server. - An API key for Anthropic, OpenAI or Azure OpenAI (or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint you choose), or an organisation server that provides the AI. - For the app-reading and app-editing chat, the Sheet Builder, QMC chat and briefings: an MCP server for your Qlik site. Privacy Your prompts go from your browser to the AI provider or server that you or your organisation configured. Stretch Qonnect does not receive them, and there is no account with us and no telemetry. With an MCP server connected, what its tools return to the chat, which can include your app's data, goes to that AI provider too. Settings, templates, chat history and keys are stored on your device. The one request the extension makes to us without being asked is a static table of AI model prices from qloudcover.com, which carries nothing about you. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
