Overview

Opinionated linting/formatting for Qlik script.

Everyone on the team writes Qlik script their own way. Inconsistent indentation, mixed keyword casing, quoting that changes from block to block — and every review turns into a discussion about whitespace instead of logic. qlinter enforces one consistent style directly in the Qlik Sense Data Load Editor. It flags violations inline while you write, and formats the whole script with one click. WHAT IT DOES - Inline lint feedback. Offending tokens are underlined right in the editor, with hover tooltips explaining which rule was violated. - Severity-aware findings. Every diagnostic is an error, a warning or an info, and the toolbar popup shows a live count per severity for the script you are editing. - One-click formatting. "Format automatically" applies every available autofix and writes the normalized script back into the editor. - Multiple rules covering layout (indentation, line breaks, line length, trailing whitespace), casing (keywords, built-in functions, variables), spacing (operators, commas, parentheses, comments) and correctness (legacy path variables, table label brackets, variable character set). - Configurable. Start from the recommended preset and adjust any rule's severity, or edit the configuration as JSON for options that have no dedicated control. - Inline exceptions. qlinter-disable comments opt individual lines or whole blocks out of linting. REQUIREMENTS qlinter currently supports Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows only. Qlik Cloud support is planned but not available yet. Access is granted per site: open the popup on your Qlik Sense server and enable qlinter for that origin. It stays inactive everywhere else. PRIVACY qlinter collects nothing, transmits nothing and contacts no server — there is not a single network call in the extension. Scripts are analyzed inside the page and never leave the browser. The only thing stored is your own rule configuration. OPEN SOURCE MIT licensed, developed in the open: https://github.com/MuellerConstantin/qlinter
