qBittorrent Web UI Companion turns your browser into a seamless front-end for your qBittorrent client. Click a magnet link or download a .torrent file anywhere on the web, and it's instantly routed to your qBittorrent instance - no manual copy-paste, no tab switching, no leftover .torrent files cluttering your Downloads folder. One-click magnet link interception: Clicks on magnet: links anywhere on the web are captured and sent directly to qBittorrent. The page never navigates away. Automatic .torrent file routing: Downloads ending in .torrent (detected by URL, MIME type, or filename) are intercepted before they hit your disk and forwarded to qBittorrent - including indirect links from tracker sites that resolve to .torrent files after redirects. File-level selection before downloading: The modal lets you preview the full file tree, expand folders, and pick exactly which files/folders to download - no need to load the torrent first and trim it later. Category picker: Choose a qBittorrent category from the modal so torrents land in the right folder with the right tags, automatically. Live torrent dashboard: The extension popup shows all your active torrents with real-time download/upload progress, speeds, and status. Pause or resume any torrent with a single click - right from the browser toolbar, without opening the Web UI. Persistent, secure local connection: Connect once with your qBittorrent Web UI URL, username, and password. Credentials are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage - never synced, never transmitted anywhere except your own qBittorrent instance. Smart session handling: Reuses qBittorrent's session cookie so you stay authenticated across browser restarts and service-worker shutdowns, with no surprise re-login prompts. Works with any qBittorrent setup: Localhost, LAN IP, reverse-proxied HTTPS domain, custom port - if your Web UI is reachable, this extension can talk to it.
