Overview
Displays relevant test cases from QaNetra in a side panel based on the current page
QaNetra TC Overlay brings your test cases directly into the browser — no tab switching, no searching. While you browse or manually test any page of your web application, the extension automatically matches the current URL to your QaNetra project and shows only the test cases relevant to that page in a Chrome Side Panel. ── HOW IT WORKS ── API Mode (QaNetra Cloud) Log in with your QaNetra account, select a project, and the extension fetches live test cases from your QaNetra workspace. Token-only authentication — your password is never stored. Excel Mode (Offline) No QaNetra account yet? Upload any .xlsx test case spreadsheet. Each sheet becomes a page; columns like Title, Steps, Priority, and Type are automatically parsed. Works entirely offline. Local Test Runner Trigger individual test cases directly from the side panel. The extension connects to a local runner agent on your machine, executes the mapped automation test (pytest, Jest, Playwright, Cypress, and more), and shows pass/fail results inline — no terminal needed. ── FEATURES ── • Auto-matches the current page URL to relevant test cases • Organised by Level (Unit / Integration / E2E) → Category (Functional / Non-Functional) → Suite (Smoke / Regression) • Full test case detail: steps, preconditions, expected result, priority, tags • Search by title or test case ID • Filter chips for level, category, and suite • Run individual tests locally and see ✅ / ❌ results in the panel • Dark theme, minimal UI — built to stay out of your way Excel Template Format: Columns: Title | Steps | Expected | Preconditions | Priority | Type | Tags - Title: Test case name (required) - Steps: Actions separated by "->" (e.g. Open login page -> Enter email -> Click Submit) - Expected: Expected result - Preconditions: Comma-separated (e.g. User logged out, VPN connected) - Priority: Critical / High / Medium / Low - Type: Functional / Non-Functional / Unit / Integration - Tags: Comma-separated page tags matching your URL (e.g. login, dashboard) Each sheet = one page/module. Sheet name becomes the page name. ── WHO IS THIS FOR ── QA engineers and developers who want their test cases visible while they test, without leaving the browser. ── PERMISSIONS ── • storage — saves your connection settings and tokens locally on your device • activeTab — reads the current page URL to match test cases • sidePanel — displays the test case panel alongside the page • Access to all URLs — required to match test cases on any domain your application runs on (local, staging, production) ── PRIVACY ── Your email and auth tokens are stored only on your local device (chrome.storage.local).
