Capture a page. Explain a change. Inspect the details. PXS for Developers by PixelShark brings the practical tools for website reviews and client walkthroughs into one local Chrome workspace. CAPTURE & ANNOTATE • Capture a selected area, the visible viewport or a full page stitched while scrolling. • Add arrows, rectangles, text and readable callouts. Move annotations, change colours, undo and redo. • Export the finished image as PNG or WebP. • Use Quick capture to copy a selected area as PNG and save it to Downloads in one action. The default shortcut is Alt+S (Option+S on Mac); change it in Chrome's shortcut settings. Clipboard writing is optional and enabled in Settings. RECORD & EXPLAIN • Record a browser tab, window or desktop and save an MP4. • Choose Full HD, QHD or 4K output, with optional microphone and source audio where supported. • Pause and resume. Add captions to a recorded web page, position them where they help, and remove them in place. • Highlight actions with the PixelShark shark pointer and its click pulse in the recorded tab. INSPECT YOUR WEBSITE • Pick a colour as a HEX value and measure page elements in CSS pixels. • Choose desktop and mobile viewport sizes from a compact menu. Reapply your last size with one click; large sizes scale to fit your screen. • See page load time, server TTFB, first paint, known transfer and observed HTTP/3 usage directly in the Speed panel. Expand the file list, ordered by transfer size. • Optionally reload once to inspect response status, cache and compression headers, with practical suggestions in the same panel. • View cookie metadata and observed Consent Mode v2 signals in the Cookies panel. Optional site access is requested on first use; cookie values are excluded. LOCAL BY DESIGN No account, advertising, analytics or capture-upload service. Screenshots, videos and reports are processed on your device. Local screenshot and video drafts expire after 24 hours and are removed on the next capture, recording or recovery; you can also delete them immediately. Downloads and clipboard images remain until you delete or replace them. IMPORTANT DETAILS Chrome controls screen and microphone sharing. Audio and encoding support depend on your browser, operating system and hardware. 4K is an output size, not a promise to create missing source detail. The shark and on-page captions work inside the recorded tab, not across other desktop applications. Page tools cannot be injected into protected Chrome pages or the Chrome Web Store. Image/PDF captures use a local selection screen where supported; local files require Chrome’s file URL access setting. Full-page stitching applies to ordinary web pages, not whole PDF documents. Long or dynamically changing pages can affect full-page stitching. Performance measurements reflect your current browser, cache and connection; they are not a Lighthouse score or field Core Web Vitals assessment. Cookie and consent observations are technical diagnostics, not a guarantee of legal or Google policy compliance. Permissions are explained in the extension and privacy policy. The debugger permission is used only when you request viewport emulation or a performance reload inspection. Cookie/site access and clipboard writing are optional.
