PwdGen is a lightweight, privacy-first password generator for Chrome. It helps you create secure random passwords directly inside the browser extension popup, without opening a separate website or sending anything to a server. PwdGen uses the browser Web Crypto API, including crypto.getRandomValues(), to generate random passwords locally on your device. Generated passwords are not uploaded, logged, analyzed, stored, or sent through analytics. The extension does not make network requests and does not require permission to read or modify webpages.
