PW Locator Inspector
Overview
Evaluate Playwright locator chains in the DevTools panel and inspect matched DOM elements
PW Locator Inspector lets QA engineers and developers evaluate Playwright-style locator chains directly against the live DOM, right inside Chrome DevTools — no need to translate selectors by hand or guess why a locator matched the wrong node. Features - Paste any Playwright locator chain and see every matching element instantly. - Supports locator(), filter({ hasText / has / hasNot }), getByRole, getByText, getByLabel, getByPlaceholder, getByTestId, getByAltText, getByTitle, first/last/ nth, and .and()/.or(). - Multi-line Page Object chains with variable references (this.root = ...). - Hover a result to highlight it on the page; click to jump straight to the element in the Elements panel. - CSS, XPath, and text= selectors. Matching mirrors Playwright defaults (substring + case-insensitive text matching; pass { exact: true } to tighten). Disclaimer This is an UNOFFICIAL tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Microsoft or the Playwright project. "Playwright" is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation, used here only to describe compatibility.
