Purix strips the tracking parameters that trackers append to links — utm_ tags, fbclid, gclid, and dozens of site-specific tokens that let companies follow you across the web and tie a click back to a campaign, an email, or an ad. It cleans URLs the moment you navigate to them, click them, or copy them. ZERO NETWORK CALLS, EVER Purix makes no network requests of any kind — no analytics, no telemetry, no remote configuration. The entire rule set that decides what gets stripped ships inside the extension and only changes when you install a new version. Nothing Purix sees ever leaves your browser. HOW IT WORKS ON CHROME A bundled Declarative Net Request ruleset redirects a tracked URL to its clean form before the request ever leaves your browser — a network-layer redirect that never inspects page content. A content script handles the two cases DNR can't: rewriting links the instant you click them, and checking copied text for a URL to clean before it reaches your clipboard. WHAT IT REMOVES utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and the rest of the utm_ family; fbclid, gclid, msclkid and other ad-network click identifiers; social-network share identifiers; and site-specific tracking tokens for the shopping, video, and social sites covered by the built-in rule set. The complete, human-readable list of every parameter Purix strips ships inside the extension and is visible in the dashboard's rule viewer. SAFE BY DESIGN Purix only strips a parameter it recognizes by exact name from a fixed, built-in list — it never guesses. A hard keep-list protects parameters that select real page content (search terms, video timestamps, pagination), so a page never silently breaks because it lost a parameter it actually needed. MAKE IT YOURS Add your own rules from the dashboard: strip an extra parameter everywhere or on one site, or protect a parameter a site needs with a "never strip" rule. Turn Purix off entirely, or just for one site, in one click from the popup. Right-click any link for a "Copy clean link" option. SEE WHAT IT'S DOING The popup shows your all-time and today's counts, your top domains, and the links it just cleaned. The dashboard adds a 30-day activity log (hostname and the parameter names removed — never the URL itself), a by-day chart, a per-domain table, and a full view of the active rule set. Export everything Purix has ever stored, as one file, any time. Purix is also available for Firefox and Safari (Mac, iPhone, iPad), all built from the same rule set and the same core code.
