How It Works: 1. Install PureWord and pin it to your Chrome toolbar. 2. Click the icon to toggle filtering on or off for any site. 3. This is perfect for ensuring that filtering rules remain active on shared or family computers. + Custom Replacements: A new "Custom Replacements" tab has been added to the options page. You can now add your own word-replacement pairs to tailor the filter to your exact needs. + Improved Stemming Logic: The engine for detecting word variations (like plural words or different tenses) has been significantly improved for more accurate filtering. + UI Enhancements: The options page has been reorganized with tabs for a cleaner and more intuitive user experience. + Bug Fixes: Addressed several minor bugs to improve stability and performance. + Added a new setting called "Mask with Asterisks" in the extension options (from v1.1.2). + Improved performance and responsiveness. ## How to Use 1. Open the PureWord extension options page. 2. Look for the new "Mask with Asterisks" toggle button. 3. Enable the toggle to Mask with Asterisks instead of word replacement. 4. Save your settings. ## App Settings + Word Replacements: This is the list of words that are filtered on the web pages you visit. The list is blurred in the app, but it is visible on the GitHub repository. + Custom Replacements: Add your own word-replacement pairs. These are combined with the default list. + URL Filtering: These are the domain on which you would like PureWord to be active. There are two modes and only one is active at a time: - Excluded URLs: PureWord will not be active on the domains you type here. It will be active on all other domains. - Included URLs: PureWord will only be active on the domains you type here. It will not be active on any other domain. + Parental Lock: Secure your settings with a password. Once enabled, a password is required to change any options or disable the lock. ## Obfuscation Combinations + Show Visual Cue ON + Mask with Asterisks OFF: Shows replaced words with highlighting and tooltips. This is the default behaviour. + Show Visual Cue ON + Mask with Asterisks ON: Shows asterisks with red highlighting and tooltips showing original words. + Show Visual Cue OFF + Mask with Asterisks OFF: Shows replaced words without highlighting. + Show Visual Cue OFF + Mask with Asterisks ON: Shows asterisks without highlighting. ## Example + Original text: "This is damn annoying" + With word replacement: "This is darn annoying" + With asterisk masking: "This is **** annoying"
