Checks a page for common publishing mistakes: title, meta description, alt text, links, placeholders. Webflow-aware. No tracking.

PublishGate checks the page you have open for common mistakes before you publish it. Click the icon, press “Scan this page”, and get a prioritised list you can click to jump to the affected element. What it checks • Missing or empty page title and meta description • Images without alt text, and image-only links with no accessible name • Empty-alt images that may need a description (judged from context, with the reasons shown) • Placeholder text such as “Lorem ipsum”, “TODO” and “replace this text” • Empty or “#” links, links to missing sections, and internal links that return 404 or 410 • “noindex” left on a page • On Webflow sites: empty CMS lists, default form messages and the “Made in Webflow” badge, with fix suggestions that refer to the Webflow Designer Honest results Every finding is labelled Confirmed, Heuristic or Unverified. A link is only called broken when the server returns 404/410 to two different requests; anything inconclusive is shown as unverified. Heuristics can be wrong, and the extension says so. Privacy PublishGate analyses the page in your browser. There is no account, no analytics and nothing is sent to the developer. On first use it explains what it reads and asks for your consent before it looks at any page. The optional internal-link check is off unless you turn it on; when on, it sends read-only requests, with your cookies for that site, to the same website you are scanning and never to other sites. It runs only when you click the icon, on the tab you chose. PublishGate never edits or publishes your site. It is an independent tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Webflow, Inc.
