Overview

See BSR and book data right on Amazon and turn any book into a concept for a better competing book.

Find your next book idea on Amazon, see where the bestsellers can be beaten, and get a concept for the book that beats them. PublishFlow for Chrome is a free research companion for KDP self-publishers. It adds the book data you need to Amazon's own search and product pages, shows the sales rank history of every book, checks any book against 15 attack points, and turns it into a concept for a better competing book. WHAT IT DOES • Shows Best Sellers Rank (BSR), category ranks, page count, publication date and format above every book in Amazon search results. • Puts rank, rating, format, pages, publication date and price into one clear bar on every book page. • Shows the full BSR history of a book right on its page, so you see whether it sells steadily or only had one good month. • NEW: Checks any book against 15 attack points and tells you where it can be beaten and where it is too strong to bother. • Creates a competing book concept from any listing and its reader reviews, and lets you refine it in a chat. • Exports search results as a CSV file and suggests keyword ideas from Amazon's own search box. ★ NEW: ATTACK POINT REPORT Before you invest months in a book, find out where the bestseller is weak. Open any book and click "Check attack points". PublishFlow reads the listing, the reader reviews, the cover and the A+ content, and rates the book on 15 attack points, based on Andrey Bernhart's framework: reviews, review quality, complaints, cover, concept, title, length, interior, audience, price, description, A+ content, bonuses, branding and authority. For every point you get a score from 0 to 10, what was found, and how to attack it. On top: • Attack potential: one number from 0 to 100 that shows how open the book is to a competitor • Attack here: the three points where the book is weakest • Don't waste energy here: the three points where it is strongest • Demand: whether the niche is proven or still unproven • Your angle: the best way in for your book Filter the 15 points by attack point, open or defense. Then click "Build concept from these attack points" and PublishFlow designs your competing book around exactly those gaps. A report takes about a minute. If someone else checked the same book in the last 24 hours, you get it at once. ★ CREATE COMPETING CONCEPT Open any book on Amazon and click "Create competing concept". PublishFlow's AI reads the listing and the reader reviews, paying special attention to the critical ones, because that is where readers tell you what is missing. Then it designs the book that could win against it: • Title and subtitle: a positioned title for your competing book • Who buys it: the audience, summed up in clear audience tags • The angle: the strategy and the focus that set your book apart • Why it wins: three concrete points against the original • What's inside: a proposed structure that covers what readers missed • Evidence: the patterns found in the reviews, counted, so you can see how often a complaint comes up • Production note: format, colour and print recommendations Have your own idea already? Type it into the idea field (up to 300 characters) and the concept is built around it. Not quite right yet? Talk to your concept. Type what you want changed, for example "make it for beginners" or "shorter, more practical", and PublishFlow writes a new version and tells you what changed. Earlier versions stay available. A concept takes about 30 seconds. Copy it as text, or click "Open in PublishFlow" to start a Niche & Positioning research in PublishFlow with that book as competitor #1. From there you can build the outline and write the whole book inside PublishFlow. ★ BSR HISTORY ON EVERY BOOK PAGE Today's rank only tells you about today. PublishFlow shows the sales rank history of a book in its own card on the book page, between the description and "Frequently bought together". See at a glance whether a book sells all year, only in one season, or is falling. Free with a PublishFlow account. Don't need it on a page? Hide it with one click. ★ BOOK DATA ON EVERY SEARCH RESULT Search for a topic on Amazon and a compact PublishFlow box appears above each book result: • Best Sellers Rank, colour-coded so strong sellers stand out at a glance • Category ranks • Page count • Publication date • Format Scan a whole results page without opening twenty tabs: spot which titles really sell, how long they are and how recent they are, and judge whether a niche is crowded with fresh competition or held by a few old titles. Free, unlimited, no account. With a free account, the toolbar above the results adds: • CSV export: every book on the page with rank, pages, price, rating, publication date and more, ready for Excel or Google Sheets • Keyword ideas: what Amazon shoppers type after your search term, with one click into PublishFlow's niche research ★ BOOK PAGE AT A GLANCE On every book page, PublishFlow shows one tidy bar with the numbers that matter for research: BSR and category, star rating and number of ratings, format, page count, publication date and price. No more digging through the product details section. ★ ALL YOUR RESEARCH IN ONE PLACE Every report and concept you create is saved in "My research" in your PublishFlow account (app.publishflow.ai/research). Open any of them again, copy them, or start your book from there. ★ WORKS ALONGSIDE YOUR OTHER RESEARCH TOOLS Already use another Amazon research extension? PublishFlow notices when another tool already shows book data on the page, hides its own duplicate boxes and keeps only the concept tool, so your pages stay clean. You decide in the popup under three settings: • Automatic: PublishFlow adapts to the other tools on the page • Everything: always show all PublishFlow data • Concept only: show just the concept tool ★ SEVEN AMAZON MARKETPLACES Works on Amazon in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Canada. Compare how the same niche looks in different markets before you decide where to publish next. The interface is available in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish and follows your browser language. Reports and concepts are written in your language. WHO IT IS FOR • KDP authors looking for their next book idea • Non-fiction authors writing guides, how-to books, workbooks and cookbooks • Low-content publishers checking journals, planners and logbooks before they invest in a design • Small publishers and publishing teams researching niches and competitors at scale • Authors who publish in several markets and want to compare them EXAMPLE: A SOURDOUGH DISCARD COOKBOOK Say you are thinking about a cookbook for sourdough discard recipes. 1. Search "sourdough discard cookbook" on Amazon. The PublishFlow boxes show you the BSR of every result, colour-coded, plus page counts and publication dates. In seconds you see whether a few titles sell well and whether they are recent or several years old. 2. Open the strongest seller. The PublishFlow bar shows its rank, category, rating and number of ratings, format, pages and price, and the BSR history shows whether it sells all year or only around the holidays. 3. Click "Check attack points". About a minute later you see its attack potential, for example 62 out of 100: the cover looks dated, reviewers keep asking for photos of every recipe, but the price is hard to beat. 4. Click "Build concept from these attack points". You get a full concept aimed at those gaps: a new title and subtitle, the audience it serves, the angle that sets it apart, three reasons it can win, a proposed chapter structure, the review patterns behind those choices, and a production note on format, colour and print. 5. Want it different? Ask in the chat, for example "aim it at busy parents". Then copy the concept, or click "Open in PublishFlow" and go straight on to the outline and the book itself. FREE, RESEARCH AND SUBSCRIPTION • Book data on search results and book pages: free and unlimited, no account needed. • Free PublishFlow account (just your email address): BSR history, CSV export and keyword ideas, 1 attack point report and 1 competing concept per day, 3 chat changes per concept. • PublishFlow Research: 10 reports and 10 concepts per day, unlimited chat changes. • PublishFlow subscription (Base or Pro): unlimited reports and concepts, plus "Open in PublishFlow", which takes your concept straight into niche research, outlining and writing. Plans are bought on publishflow.ai, never inside the extension. PRIVACY • The extension runs only on the supported Amazon marketplaces and on app.publishflow.ai. • It does not collect your browsing history and does not track you on other websites. • We do not sell data. • Book data is read from the Amazon page you are looking at. Anonymous rank readings (book ID, rank, category) are sent without any user ID. • When you create a report or a concept, the book's listing, selected reviews and the links to its cover and A+ images are sent to PublishFlow to create it, and the result is saved in your PublishFlow account. • You can log out at any time in the extension popup. FAQ Is it free? Yes. The book data on search results and book pages is free and unlimited. With a free account you also get the BSR history, CSV export, keyword ideas, and one attack point report and one competing concept every day. PublishFlow Research and the PublishFlow subscription raise or remove those limits. Do I need an account? Not for the book data. You need a free account (just your email address) for the BSR history, the toolbar, reports and concepts. What are the 15 attack points? Fifteen places where a book can be beaten by a new one, from reviews and cover to price, A+ content and author authority. Each gets a score from 0 to 10. Concept, audience, cover and length count double in the attack potential, because they decide most competitions. Does it slow Amazon down? PublishFlow adds small, compact boxes to the page and reads the book data that Amazon already shows. Data is cached during your session so the same page is not fetched twice, and the BSR history only loads when you scroll to it. Does it work with other research extensions? Yes. If another tool already shows book data, PublishFlow hides its duplicate boxes and keeps only the concept tool. You can change this any time in the popup: Automatic, Everything or Concept only. What happens to my data? No browsing history, no tracking on other sites, no data selling. Rank readings are anonymous, and a book's listing, reviews and image links are sent to PublishFlow only when you create a report or a concept. See the privacy section above. How are reports and concepts created? PublishFlow's AI reads the book's listing, its reader reviews (with a focus on the critical ones), and for reports also its cover and A+ images. It looks for patterns in what readers praise and what they miss, counts them, and designs a competing book around those gaps. ABOUT PUBLISHFLOW PublishFlow is the all-in-one platform for self-publishers: niche research, outlines, AI writing with human-quality editing, covers, A+ content and export for KDP. The Chrome extension is a quick way in: spot a book on Amazon, find its weak spots, create a competing concept, and turn it into your own book in PublishFlow. https://publishflow.ai PublishFlow is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon.
